The project

The Botteghe digitali project was born with the aim of making two worlds interact: the artistic and performative research with sustainable and innovative productive entreprises. The main objective is the birth of new artistic and performative productions capable of narrating and promoting the world of work and stimulate the companies to reflect on their own identity through the artistic language.

Theatre, dance, video, artistic and multimedia installations are tools that can be used to tell the corporate identity, good manufacturing practices, sustainability policies, company memories and reuse of abandoned spaces/shops. The project is aimed to artists under 35 (single participants, groups, companies) interested in international training and development of an artistic – performative project related to experts of performing arts field and the host company.

The first phase of Digital Workshops 2021 includes a Summer School entitled “Multimedia and Relational Arts?” Which will take place both in presence and online and which will involve artists from all partner countries. The second phase of the project foresees the selection and the “implementation” of three artistic projects that can be developed, in collaboration with partner companies, within the Festival In \ Visible Cities 2021.

Summer school

“Multimedia and Relational Arts “

The Summer school will be built with masterclasses with special guests open both to the Summer School participants and to the general public, creative workshops with each partner dedicated to the Summer School participants, individual sessions and tutoring to selected artists/group of artists, collaborative meetings with local communities.

We would like to suggest and promote a new kind of artist as defined by Nicolas Bourriaud
a “molecular anthropologist” developing specific social interactions skills with territories and communities.

General objectives

The summer school sees among its objectives:
– the acquisition of professional skills on “community engagement” through the
dialogue with local communities involved in the role of co-creation within artistic processes;
– the development of new creative forms thanks to the collaboration with the
entrepreneurial sector and productive enterprises;
– the creation of international networks between individual participants and cultural realities
of four different countries (Italy, Slovenia, the Netherlands and Austria);
– the development of an individual art project with the tutoring of experts from the field of
performing and multimedia art;
– free participation in online training (July 2021) and coverage of an artistic residency
(September 2021) in Friuli Venezia Giulia (Italy) within festivals related to performance and
multimedia with the presentation of artistic work to the public and professionals in
the professional sector.
